Am I right in thinking that the 10th file to be loaded would have a ModIndex of 09 and not 0A as the article suggests (under the "FormID Format" heading, last paragraph)? :It depends on what you are talking about. Since Oblivion.esm always gets 00 (the "first"), a lot of people don't really count it. The first ''mod'' would be 01, the first thing that's going to modify Oblivion.esm. Personally, I agree with you; I think it's more helpful and meaningful to think of Oblivion.esm as the first. The article also does a poor job explaining which version it is talking about, so either way it ought to be cleared up. Thanks for pointing that out. | |||

::It's correct as currently stated. The ModIndex is determine by the file's position in the load order. Updates[edit source]
I just don't think this article is laid out very well.. will work on it later, just marked so I don't forget about it. --Speedo 15:52, 25 March 2008 (EDT)
- Err... the tag is meant to get other's attention. If you plan to work on it yourself just make a note to yourself, but more importantly if you want other's to help you're going to need to be more specific. Personally, I think it could use some more information (maybe take some from Wrye's articles), but the layout so far is pretty good. The only problem is the overlapping images/text (and that's easy to fix).--Haama 16:05, 25 March 2008 (EDT)
Errors[edit source]
Am I right in thinking that the 10th file to be loaded would have a ModIndex of 09 and not 0A as the article suggests (under the "FormID Format" heading, last paragraph)? I'm very new to Oblivion modding, so I don't want to go changing people's hard work without being sure.
I also noticed that the ModIndex appears to be incorrect under the "Console Usage" heading as well. The 15th loaded mod would have a ModIndex of 0E not 0F. --Zatrael 18:15, 8 November 2008 (EST)
- It depends on what you are talking about. Since Oblivion.esm always gets 00 (the "first"), a lot of people don't really count it. The first mod would be 01, the first thing that's going to modify Oblivion.esm. Personally, I agree with you; I think it's more helpful and meaningful to think of Oblivion.esm as the first. The article also does a poor job explaining which version it is talking about, so either way it ought to be cleared up. Thanks for pointing that out.
