for some reason when i try to i can open the book i just get the spell learning option but the book itself doesnt open/>--[[User:NeroAnima|NeroAnima]]
:I ''think'' (and I have only just skimmed the script) that was intentional. There are ways around that, but I haven't got the time to write it up, I'm afraid. Uhm. Check out [[MenuMode]], it's got a way of checking to see if you're looking at a book. Checking which book is... harder. You need to detect if the player's Activated it (with an [[OnActivate]] block similar to the one in here; note that OnActivate blocks normal activation, so if you still want the book to open you need [[Activate]]), or if the player equipped it (I ''think'' [[OnEquip]] will work for this?). Sorry, don't have more than that for you.

I think (and I have only just skimmed the script) that was intentional. There are ways around that, but I haven't got the time to write it up, I'm afraid. Uhm. Check out MenuMode, it's got a way of checking to see if you're looking at a book. Checking which book is... harder. You need to detect if the player's Activated it (with an OnActivate block similar to the one in here; note that OnActivate blocks normal activation, so if you still want the book to open you need Activate), or if the player equipped it (I think OnEquip will work for this?).
