I've just recently discovered TES IV:Oblivion, and I can honestly say it's the most mindblowing game I've ever played. Even without adding mods, the game seems endless. Having access to a resource like the TES Construction Set, that offers the kind of graphical and conceptual power you get with Oblivion, is almost as cool as being a professional game developer - excepting, of course, that we don't get paid for it.

Having just started looking into mod creation myself, I have found this Wiki indispensable as a learning resource and reference. As such, I plan to add anything I possibly can to help others learn quickly, and continue to create mods that make an awesome game even better.

About Me

I have been scripting as a hobby for a few years, since the original release of Neverwinter Nights, and would probably do nothing else if not for being married, with one son. I love coding in particular - the best part of mod creation is tackling the logic needed to make things happen correctly. I am an extreme perfectionist at this. I am far less talented with graphics, textures, landscaping - the visual process. Ideally, I would become part of a development team, so I could focus on what I'm good at: turning a program inside out and bending it to my will.

I have barely scratched the surface of the TESCS, so I don't have much to offer as of yet. In particular, I have my sights set on NPC behavior (one of my Neverwinter Nights specialties), the possibility of adding a massive crafting system, and adding quests with emphasis on what I consider to be the most underappreciated aspects of the game, like the Acrobatics skill (my favorite Oblivion character so far is a Khajiit Acrobat, but I have so far been disappointed with the lack of acrobatics-type challenges in a game whose entire landscape is, after all, based on a heightmap).
