Thepal has been a part of the online Elder Scrolls modding community since Morrowind was released. He is most well known for his Unofficial Morrowind Patch, which fixed hundreds of bugs, errors and omissions in the game.

He has also worked on several other projects over the years.

Morrowind ProjectsEdit

The Unofficial Morrowind Patch (UMP)Edit

The Unofficial Morrowind Patch is a fan-made patch for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, which fixes hundreds of bugs overlooked by the developers' patches. It is available at http://www.etherealsoftware.com.au/patch/.

Life to Morrowind (cancelled)Edit

Life to Morrowind was a mod project being created by Thepal. It was to add many new features to the game, including NPC Schedules, Unique Dialogue for NPCs, new quests and factions, unique faces for NPCs, and much more.

Unfortunately, due to a lack of free time and support from the community, finishing Life to Morrowind was not a possibility. Once Oblivion was released, Thepal moved on to the new game which already contained many of the features he wished to add to Morrowind.

Morrowind Texture Replacer ComparisonEdit

As the number of Texture Replacers for Morrowind began to increase, the community started to ask for a site that would show side-by-side comparisons of the different projects, as well as give information on how they performed relative to each other.

Thepal decided to fulfil this need and created Thepal's Amazing, Wonderful and Spectacular Morrowind Texture Pack Comparison Page. It was interesting to note that the various texture packs did not lower the frame rate noticably, with the average frame rate of running Morrowind without texture packs being only one tenth of a second faster than that of the most popular texture replacer.

Oblivion ProjectsEdit

Divinity (cancelled)Edit

A planned project which was to add the temples to the eight divines to Cyrodiil, as well as their knightly orders. With the release of Bethesda's Knights of the Nine, Thepal decided to concentrate on Infinity Eternal rather than compete with an official mod.

Ultima IX: Infinity EternalEdit

Originally being made for Morrowind, this Oblivion mod is what Thepal is currently dedicating his modding time to.

Ultima IX: Infinity Eternal (website) is a "remake" of the game Ultima IX: Ascension by Origin. It is being made as a TC (Total Conversion), and will contain several completely new worlds, thousands of NPCs, original music, a huge main quest, and many side-quests.

As this is a huge mod, Thepal is currently recruiting for team members to help work on the game. If you wish to help, contact Thepal at thepal@etherealsoftware.com.au .
