This isn't a NifSkope tutorial, so I'll be rather brief. There's a good tutorial on the CS Wiki called "NifSkope Alchemy" which you might want to check out. In any case, start out by maximizing the window and drag the popup window off the screen. The popup window is of no use, and is just in the way.
