Simple lists are ''also'' valuable, I think. Portals present a lot of information in a compact design, but lists tend to give a bit more organization to things. | |||
Actually, I'm somewhat unsure of Portals, myself - as I said, they are very compact and dense, which may make them difficult to navigate. I looked into making [[:Category: Getting Started|Getting Started]] more consistent with the Portal design (since it's listed with the rest of the Portals) and eventually simply decided against it - the Portals do not have the ordered organization of the more straight-forward article found on the Category page. I've also been somewhat frustrated with the [[Portal:Scripting|Scripting Portal]] - it's difficult to direct people to important things from it, I think. | |||
Perhaps a more straight-forward on the article with a side-bar on the right for things like the "Things you can do" and "Useful Links" boxes, which I do think are valuable.<br /> | |||
