Hola. Whats up dudes? My names Devon, regular old guy who just got an interest in doing stuff on Oblivion. Yea, lotsa people say this is one of the nerdiest things a dude can do. Look at me, I'm in a video game forum making mods on a game. Like I care what anyone thinks about that. I'm trying to work with some scripts on here to make some random mods. Some are kind of cheaty, only use any of my mods (havent uploaded any yet. Everythings still a little buggy ^_^') if u are in a cheating mood. I'm trying to even some things out, and some are just for good old cheap fun. I get bored a lot, gotta keep occupied somehow. Like I made a God Form mod to turn into an overpowered being or whatever, just for kicks'n'giggles. Freezing time scripts, controlling weather, resurrecting the dead, and lately I've been trying to swap the player character with an NPC, controllin them from the inside. Just some random stuff. And if anyone has a clue how to work that stuff or has suggestions for stuff they might like to see, I'd be glad to get some help or advice. Thats pretty much what i'm here for. Easier scripting paths, how the hell to work OBSE scripts (wont save), and so on. If anyones into bendin this game around for some laughs (hell i've made spells that swap AI, i made a beggar think he owned the Copious Coinpurse and he sold stuff, while the salesman at the Coinpurse left and started beggin for money), then give me a message haha i need the help.
Stuff I'd Like Help With
1. Man this scripts been bugging me. As u probably guessed from up there, I like to make cheat mods for pastime and boredom. Mostly everyone plays cheat mods every now and then. Normally I wait til i beat a game to use any cheats, and i passed the main story, so i started workin on some little control mods. The problem i got right now is a sort of complexion mod. Its a rather controlling mod, taking identities from one person and moving it to another with one of my scripts got dull, so i started working on a whole new thing. I shoot someone with a spell, and our looks swap around. I become whatever race he was, and then i get the same hair, face styles, skin tone, name, everything. And he gets all my looks and name but i keep my inventory and spells and so does he, so i can just jumble up a few things. Swap a count of anvil with one of the local beggars maybe? Thing is, i dont know how to script that, or if theres even any way to do it. May seem completely pointless, but I'm easily amused. Any ideas?
2. I mentioned this earlier, my God Form script. Right now it works fine, and im thinking of releasing it by throwing in a quest to get it, but what would people want to do if they could turn into god? Its just a "Transcend into God" spell and a "Revert to Humanity" spell that swap you between forms (trying to learn to use OBSE so it can be swapped by a keystroke). So far it swaps your armor into a god set based off ebony and Legion Dragon meshes, and gives you the ghost effect to look like a spirit, and gives u an assortment of spells. So far its only freezing time, and reviving the dead. Im not sure much people'll use this, but like i said, its for cheap fun. Any suggestions on new spells or abilities?
3. When I first beat the mages guild line and got ahold of the Staff of Worms, i loved it. I beat the crap out of any nearby person just to bring 'em back for a few seconds. Then it started to get a little old. I looked into it a bit, and necros in Oblivion were supposedly bringing back the dead, turning people into zombies, becoming liches, and so on. So the little staff got dull. Now im working on adding a whole new feel to necromancy in Oblivion. So far i only have a little work done. Take a black soul gem, and trap John Doe in it, and now the gem'll say "Black Soul Gem: John Doe". Now his names printed on it and u know exactly where you got that soul. Now you can take that gem, place it on a corpse, and cast reanimate on the corpse, it'll come back to life with John Doe's AI printed on it, and he'll stop and wonder why hes in a new body, eventually get used to it, and go on with life. But i think its a little listless. Anyone have any ideas on new ways to form necromancy? And if so, how should i script it? Or how DO i script it?
