Talk:Fix dialogues in localized non english versions
Revision as of 17:29, 4 October 2007 by imported>Qazaaq (bylines)
I noticed the comment about this article being "bylined". Sorry, I'm Italian, I don't understand the meaning of the compound term "byline" so I cannot fix the problem.
- A byline (or by line) is a line that says by whom the article is written, in this case you. Putting a byline under an article discourages other people from making adjustments or rewriting the whole article if necessary. Bylines were always against the rules, but that rule was never enforced properly and bylines almost became a standard. Since a few months new bylines are removed and old articles are tagged, by which the author is asked to remove the byline. These decisions were made after a discussion on the Bethesda Softworks forums and the Community Portal a while ago.
- Try searching for the word in an on line dictionary, those can be very helpful. And don't forget to sign your comment next time, by typing ~~~~~ or clicking the signature button.
