Original Question[edit source]

All right, this is somewhat of a crisis... I have found that my mod makes all NPC's say "I DO NOT HAVE A GREETING" whenever I talk to them. I have checked in the Character/Filtered Dialouge menu, and all of the greetings appear to be there, but for some reason, all of the NPC's in the game don't use them. I have worked for months on my mod, and I would like to solve this without having to delete my mod. Please help... I really need to fix this, because I reaaally don't want do delete all of my work. If you even have a clue of what's going on, please tell me.

oh, and sorry about the all caps title. I was just putting it how the game puts it.

I just ran into this problem myself and I believe it is simply an EMPTY greeting text info being selected when the player initiates conversation. (Doh.) I added unique greeting text to all of the NPCs in the village I am working on and during this process I accidentally left an EMPTY text info (while creating the NPC to go along with it). When I tested my dialog, I received the 'I DO NOT HAVE A GREETING' message whenever that text info was being selected based on the conditions I had set. When I added some text to the empty message, the problem instantly corrected itself. If you run into this problem yourself, check all of the GREETING text infos and make sure they aren't EMPTY. If they are, just delete them (or add some text if it's supposed to be there). TheMagician 15:37, 22 July 2008 (EDT)
