Npage navigation panel obscures Wiki textEdit

i'm anew here jsut want to read and learn, but the left hand navigation panel floats atop text on the left side of each page, adn I can't find a way to remove it. Please have a look, maybe see if the layout of the page is messed up. Thanks.

Welcome to the Wiki! The issue you're having is caused by using an outdated Internet browser. Most of the time this is Internet Explorer 6. If this is the case you should upgrade immediately. That browser is not only following the wrong standards (causing these issues) but it's also unsafe!
I strongly recommend Mozilla Firefox, but if you're attached to Internet Explorer you should get version 7. That version still has some issues caused by not following the standards, but the Wiki is readable. Other less popular choices are Chrome and Opera.

As is often the case, however, popularity does not directly correlate with quality - Internet Explorer is by far the most common browser, but it's terrible. Chrome and Opera are both much better than it; where they stand with respect to each other and Firefox is largely personal preference.
