Adobe Photoshop Plug-ins [edit | edit source]
Description |
This installer contains two plug-ins and several helpful scripts for Adobe® Photoshop®:
The NVIDIA Normal Map filter creates normal maps from height maps for per pixel rendering. The DDS plug-in supports the DXTC texture compression format and allows you to open and save .dds files in RGB format. It reads and writes .dds files compressed or uncompressed.

NConvert [edit | edit source]
Description |
An additional resource for DDS files is NConvert (freeware). It can convert to and from DDS allowing DDS files to be converted to other formats. I recently used this tool to convert the DDS files that the TCS generates from the "Generate Local Maps" functon to jpegs. It is a console app (dos box) and not GUI. It will batch convert and is very fast.
