This article is actually a discussion which was brought into the Main Wiki because it has interesting or important information. It should be converted into an actual article; if you can do this, it would be appreciated.
How do I start a TC[edit | edit source]
I have created a starting landmass, added a marker to designame a player starting location. I have given it the name "PlayerStart". I have created a race, with eyes, and hair. I am at the stage where I am ready to test the world out, just a small walkthrough to check it out. However I have no idea how to make the file playable. If I enable that file and nothing else, when clicking on "New Game" on the main menu, nothing happens. I have searched through all the scripts looking for something that triggers the intro movie, but I cannot find it. I have no idea how the real game is scripted to startup. I have also tried finding some sort of debug mode or something, but there does not seem to be console argument for it. This information should probably appear in the wiki somewhere, although, I admit that not many people start total conversions. Cy83r574r 10:32, 6 November 2007 (EST)
Solution (Use Oblivion.ini)[edit | edit source]
To test my World Space, I edited the first section of my Oblivion.ini so that when I double-click on the game icon it goes straight into my mod:
[General] SStartingCell=MyCell1 ;SStartingCell= SStartingCelly= SStartingCellx= SStartingWorld=MyWorld ;SStartingWorld=
Hope that helps!
