A command for Oblivion Script Extender

Syntax:

acos [float]

Returns the arccosine of a number (i.e. the angle whose cosine this is)

Example

set n to ( r / x )
set theta to acos n

Notes

  • At present, all OBSE trigonometric functions take radians, not degrees. To convert an angle in degrees to radians, use this:
    set radians to ( 3.14 * ( degrees / 180 ) )
  • This function can be used in a mathematical formula (a + acos b), but a mathematical formula will not compile as the arguement for this function (acos (a + b) doesn't work).
  • acos a + b = ( acos a ) + b
