One of the settings tabs found in the reference editor view.

The purpose of the Enable Parent tab is to provide the capability of "enabling" multiple objects in the game world at the same time. See Enable and Disable.

The setting asks for a Cell and a Reference. The easiest way to enter these values is to open the Enable Parent Tab on the child object and then navigate to the object you would like to use as the "parent" in the render window. Then in the Enable Parent Tab of the "child" object press the Select Reference in the Render Window button. This will create a targeting cross hair in place of the mouse pointer. Simply point the cross hairs at the desired "parent" and click. Now when a script enables or disables the "parent" the "child" object will assume the same state.

Notes

  • A parent object can have numerous child objects that Enable and Disable with it.
  • The parent must be set as a persistent object.
