It seems that the scripting Engine is stupid and cant handle formulas when scripting like it should. When I put the original formula in and used it in the script no matter the values i always got 40. But when I broke it down and done the steps manually it worked like it should. I have no clue I was able to copy and paste the formula into my calculator and it worked just fine just that the game engine seems to be completely dumb | |||

Why are you using a timer to control how often the script runs? Isn't it much easier to use fQuestDelayTime? It has to be a quest script for that but I assume it's a quest script already. You should clarify that in the tutorial.

The original Script Was written so that it could be customized in game to adjust the time like Set HRtimer to #: Replace # with the number you would like to adjust the timer to how fast the regeneration rate will be set. Default is 5 which is 5 seconds. Or can that be also done using the fQuestDelayTime? This tutorial is still under construction and still has a lot of room for improvement. I am also still a newbie Scripter in many ways. I am just experimenting and when I find a finding or do something that I see has not been done before like this script. I am trying to relay though findings. Feel free to change anything in this tutorial that you wish. It is open for alternative methods to doing the same things.

I added the fQuestDelayTime method as requested. I believe it is best to give different methods that can be done. Feel free to comment about the changes and the formatting. The script still has a lot of room for improvement and I Am open for ideas and even anyone adding to this to improve the article as well as give better insight and could explain better of whats going on.

I did some restructuring of the scripts a bit to try and be as helpful as possible. I Am not sure if I did the fQuestDelayTime Scripting method one in the correct order so if anyone sees the need to change things around to make them accurate feel free. This script is still in the BETA stage of creation. I am trying to get it to be as balanced as possible without making the PC character a God character. I still want the pc character still be killable but at the same time while resting IE standing still for a long period of time will allow you to heal up because you can wait and regenerate both health and mana so why cant you just hide in a corner and Actually wait instead of using wait and heal yourself that way. I am just trying to do things with a more realistic RP View point.
