== "On Self" spells with an area ==

If you use the latest version of the CS, you'll have an option for ''Touch'' range spells called "Touch spell explodes without target" (or something along those lines), which allows you to do the Point-Blank Area-Effect spells that you're looking for.

Alternatively, if you want the On Self animation, you could use a Scripted Effect to have an invisible activator cast the spell for you, which would work about the same.
