I'm pretty sure there are (or were) special details to using these functions on abnormal types... but I don't know the details. Can anyone fill that in?

- There were initial problems with changes not being saved properly to cloned lists, but those are fixed. The other nuance is what happens if you add an abnormal item to a list that is used by the game engine -- I haven't tested it so I don't know what would happen, but it's likely to bork things. There are no problems at all if you add strange objects to lists that are not in use by the engine (I recently stored references to quests in a list and there were no issues).
