Antares[edit | edit source]

The person behind Antares:
Male, 18 years old, Currently living in the Awesome Sunshine Coast, Australia.
Moving to Brisbane next year to commence my Bachelor of Engineering Degree at UQ, St. Lucia. 4 years

No previous experience with skills such as programming/scripting etc. Everything I know is self taught from this wiki or looking in the CS at how Bethesda did things. I thought I'd join the community here because I found this wiki to be an invaluable resource and I would like now the opportunity to give back.
Modding can be quite the learning curve, especially scripting so I'm keen to help out. Also you never know what someone knows :P

ToDo List[edit | edit source]

  • Help out wherever I can.
  • Finish Rumare Stronghold
  • Tutorial On Statue Creation, will also provide a helpful walkthrough on using timers - Getting my head around timers took me ages, so I thought a practical script that implements them would be a good idea. It would have helped me, that I know.
  • Release my Thieves Guild mod. In short I thought that rising to the top of the Thieves Guild would involve being a Career Criminal, in reality all you have to do is fence 1000 gold, this mod changes that.
  • Resume work on my Visual Enchantments mod, its been doing quite well.
  • Start work on a "I lost Shadowmere" mod, I could be onto a winner here, Hall of Fame material?

My Mods[edit | edit source]

Visual Enchantments - Adds more visible effect shaders for enchanted weapons, namely: Fire, Frost, Shock, Absorb, Soul Trap, Disintegrate, Damage Health and Turn Undead.

Current Projects:[edit | edit source]

House Mod: Rumare Stronghold. - Main Project
My primary objective here is for the players reaction to seeing something that I've done (and is hopefully quite unique) to be: "Now thats just plain cool". Rumare Stronghold is a sizeable abode that accommodates for just about everything a house should: Massive Storage, Rest Relaxation and Recreation, etc. That being said, its mainly for any character type. Different sections of the Stronghold will be used more by different character types but you should have fun with the whole thing ;) . It's coming soon so watch out for it!

Training Dummies: Adds usable training dummies to the game. ALL combat skills can be trained with these, Armor skills included. How you do that? You may ask, but you shall have to wait and see. Rumare Stronghold features content from this mod. -will be released shortly after Rumare Stronghold as a stand-alone esp, will most likely have a more creative name too.

Top Secret: Not to be dramatic or anything but I don't want to disclose the contents of this mod until Rumare Stronghold has been released. Like Training Dummies this mod is featured inside of my Rumare Stronghold mod but will be released later as a stand-alone esp because I believe it has potential. Let's just say it will change the way you think about your hordes of Armors forever and leave it at that.

My Questions Section[edit | edit source]

Heat Shimmer?[edit | edit source]

Does anyone know how to create/emulate/mimic a heat shimmer effect? The look I am going for is similar to the heat shimmer you see around oblivion gates. Any help would be greatly appreciated, if there are any mods out there that include anything along these lines I would leap at the opportunity to have a look.

How about using the refraction shader on the said object ? That's what the oblivion gate uses - The refraction shader over the edges and the portal. -- shademe 08:30, 29 September 2008 (EDT)

Most Lethal Weapon In Morrowind GOTY[edit | edit source]

To put this highly contraversial issue to rest why don't you try this:

Enchant an Ebony Scimitar with Absorb Health 100-100 points for 2 seconds, Cast on Strike

Using the soul of a Golden Saint or Tribunal God of course. You can *inflict a maximum of 486 damage in under 2 seconds. You should find it to be quite the unstoppable force. With an Enchant skill of 100 it uses 8 charges/strike.

  • maximum actual damage will register at 4 seconds due to the enchantment but you can hit them twice in under 2 seconds and when the first duration is completed the second will commence.

Everywhere I have looked online never seems to suggest this as the best weapon in Morrowind GOTY, I discovered it myself, well at least I got the idea without any external influence. While this is an old issue everybody seems to have been misinformed for a very long time.
