Dragoon Wraith TALK 17:01, 30 November 2006 (EST): Regarding the OBSE wish list: Just want to make one minor detail clear: Scruggs, and pretty much anyone who edits the list, is not part of the OBSE team. IanPatt and behippo are generally too busy to learn Wiki syntax and maintain the list; the list was made for their benefit so they didn't have to keep track of it themselves. Scruggs's edits were made because I requested something be done, and in general he did an excellent job. If anything thing was erroneously removed (be it by mistake or by misunderstanding), please simply re-add it in the proper location, or discuss it in the talk page. If you'd simply said "Hey, what happened to SetHostile?" or whatever, there wouldn't have been a problem. Complaining about the edit itself just puts the editor on the defensive and hinders communication.
Anyway, feel free to remove this note after you've read it. I know you deleted the bit on the Wish List, so I know it's mostly a finished issue, I just wanted to have a bit of input, because I agree with you about some of the functions, and would have liked to have seen that episode go a little differently.
- GuidoBot 15:21, 1 December 2006 (EST) Well we all have our off days, Guidobot probably more than most. My reaction was a little OTT initially and almost immediately I went to edit it, but Scruggs had already replied. I did want him to realize that he went a little far, in that it would not hurt to proffer 2 or more very similar suggestions under the same sections, as one syntax may be more appropriate than another and/or give more insight into the most general utility. I guess we probably both upset eachother a little and I do appologize to Scruggs for this.
- Dragoon Wraith TALK 16:39, 1 December 2006 (EST): Of course. I hope I didn't come off as scolding or something, that wasn't the plan. Anyway, how has the issue gone? Were those things re-added or what?
- Oh, and by the way - generally notes for other people go on their Talk pages, the User page is for them. I don't particularly mind, but some people might, and besides it's easier to keep track of discussion when they're all in the same place. You could have just posted a response on my Talk page, and I would have responded here (back and forth kind of thing) - that's the standard on Wikipedia. Personally, I prefer keeping all of a discussion in the same place, rather than back and forth, but that would have been acceptable. Also, for me personally, I check the Recent Changes page regularly, so I would have seen the edit to your talk page.
