Problem importing weapons into belnder HELP please

Ok ive been playing with armour for a bit (idiot tutorial in blender :P) however i tried to start doing the sword tutorial and for some reason i get an error whenever i try to import any type of weapon.

I get a nice python script error...

I tried changing the nif version to 20.0.0.4 but when i goto scripts window, scripts - system

I dont get any import/export option so i cant change the version. Im not sure if this is causing the error or not.

I have no problems inporting any kind of armour, but the dam weapons dont like it :(

My version of Blender is 2.42a

[Side Note I Have noticed that unlike armour and clothes, weapons dont seem to have any name_gnd.nif files with them.. is there somit that needs doing extra?
