It looks like item weight in this game is represented in ounces. I needed to figure out exactly how it's represented for a mod, so I tried weighing some things in real life and comparing that to the weight listed for similar objects in this game, and I'm nearly certain of it. | It looks like item weight in this game is represented in ounces. Even various settings and such that use item weight support this, such as attack fatigue settings. The only couple things I've found that don't support this pretty accurately are the maximum encumbrance (which for some reason seems pretty clearly represented in pounds, and is probably what throws a lot of people off), and the weight of a couple things like pumpkins/watermelons, which also seem to be represented in pounds (listed as 5). This is obviously an anomaly though, since a horn is given the same weight (which should obviously weigh significantly less), and human hearts have a weight of 2 which absolutely could not be in pounds. --[[User:Ronyn|Ronyn]] 22:40, 25 May 2009 (EDT) | Even various settings and such that use item weight support this, such as attack fatigue settings. :In Morrowind, 1/4 pound was the usual rule-of-thumb for weight. I suppose that's changed. Good to know, thanks. | |||
