: Thanks for the suggestion.  The official forums aren't really the place for me at the moment (I like making things hard for myself!  No, I haven't been banned, if that's what you're wondering...) so I'll have to see what I can find out elsewhere.
: One thing which casts some light on one of my questions is right [[A beginner's guide, lesson 5 - Anatomy of a quest, part 2#Stage 88|here on this wiki]]... seems that the duration is indeed in seconds, which would tend to explain why my packages are reevaluating insanely quickly.  Unless there's some other subtleties behind package evaluation beyond normal expiry and "check once an hour" that I'm unaware of, which is not unlikely.  Anyway, I'll tentatively update the relevant page and add that link to its discussion.
: The AI overload issue looks like it may be more complex than simply a matter of two addscriptpackages; I've found that the NPC's script may run the onload and/or onpackagestart blocks when their AI initialises but it doesn't seem to do both completely reliably or predictably for reasons best known to itself.  Anyway, I think I've now degenerated into rambling!
: Thanks for the comment. :) --[[User:Cbh|cbh]] 14:46, 6 May 2009 (EDT)
