I just can't get this to work! Sorry for dragging up an old page but does anyone know anything that could help? I use audacity and the only bit (I think) I can't do is the cbr (constant bit rate)... --Saber 13:47, 7 June 2007 (EDT)

Awesome![edit source]

This is really informative. You should think about putting a section in the Wiki explaining it in plain old text. Or, at least, noting the default settings. :)

You might want to put the video up on a public streaming site like youtube.com as well, that would be a nice touch ;) --Halo112358 21:02, 9 April 2006 (EDT)

I understand the reason for keeping it at a quick pace, filesize and whatnot. I suggest like the user above, though, that you provide a written guide, basicalyl a transcript of the video, so people can make a quick reference to it. It would also be nice, but obviously unnecessary, to see the finished results of the voice sync. good work! -sintua

I added the reference to cbr mode to this page. This is necessary for Winlame, without checking the cbr flag in Winlame the mp3 will not play ingame.

As for your video, many people would really benefit from a text variant. The Music constantly annoyed me, the fast UI handling without spoken comment confused the hell out of me, and I never got around fast enough to read the text lines. If you do a video again, just add spoken comment, so people can use their eyes to follow what happens on screen.

And, btw no. 2, the results video speech is awesome. Did you do it yourself, or did you copy it from the game (Shrine of Dibella ? Where ?) Clavis0 20:43, 13 November 2006 (EST)

You can turn the music off, there's only one point in the video that has any other point, and I had that option or leaving it silent --in which someone would ask me why I didn't add music. The video can be paused at any moment, I just didn't want to make a 20 minute file. You're right about a written guide, as this video is more meant to be a visual aid to see where all these menus are and such. I also figured typed messages at the bottom would be more clear in case my speech isn't very clear. The dialogue is my own, I was working on an epic quest line for the nine divines in which you visit each shrine with Sevilus as your guide on your pilgrimage... he would give you a quest themed after the Divine you are currently at and give a lot of lore in the process. Unfortunately I found out about the expansion, and my idea is so close to theirs that it would be lame to make that mod at this point. Tandem

I do not obtain to make the TECS to generate the archive lip, why dont works?

Problems...[edit source]

Hi... I followed this tutorial in order to set up dialogue for one of my characters, but I'm having some problems.

I used Adobe Audition to save the voice file to a 64KBPS, 44100hz cbr Mono file using the MP3Pro codec, as well as a .WAV format with the standard Windows .WAV codec. The dialogue previews fine in the dialogue settings window in the Construction Set, but the dialogue does not play when in-game, even though the correct dialogue response shows. What am I doing wrong?

Also, your video links to the defunct TESSource site, and the link to the converter utility seems to be broken... --Astion 10:27, 10 December 2007 (EST)

updated the tessource link (now tesnexus). The morpher link seems to work fine. Clavis0 10:25, 26 January 2008 (EST)

Not Working[edit source]

Alright, I followed this tutorial, but the CS does not generate the lip file. No matter how many times I try. (Yes, I am using a new install with an old exe)

I honestly have no idea why it won't work. Any advice would be appreciated.

Alright, I just found what I was looking for, an answer that I didn't like, and then a solution to that just made it about 90 times easier, and I want to share it, so I'm going to update this tutorial with the information.
