Talk:How To Crop Images with MS Paint

Is it absolutely necessary to tell people how to use MSpaint on the wiki? Is anyone really going to turn to this site to find out how? Talkie Toaster 19:11, 27 July 2007 (EDT)

I've seen too many uploads where people have 1024x768 images of a dagger on the ground that (if cropped) would be no larger than 100x100. People need to know that once screenshots are made, they "might" need to be cropped. It also just so happens that if you save a JPG image with MS Paint, the proper amount of compression will be used to keep the file size down to a minimum. Besides, this is just one of many smaller tutorials that aid in larger tutorials that save details such as this in a separate tutorial in case one does not know how to do this, they can drill down into this tutorial. I also chose MS Paint because EVERYONE has it and can use it. LHammonds 22:22, 27 July 2007 (EDT)
