"lowering the level" - should this read "Raising the level"? High-level interfaces are stuff like windows, wheras things like DOS, or any command line, is more low-level - "level" is actually a computer term, with the lowest level being interacting in 1's and 0's, and the highest level being something much, much simpler. Low-level users are actually the most advanced users.
