There is absolutely no way to reference objects in a plugin from another plugin?  Maybe I'm being overly pessimistic, but that seems to me to be a design choice that will be extremely restrictive for modders.

Just as an example, take the Horse Commands mod.  It works by adding some new scripts that selectively load and unload AI packages for your horse(s) with some custom spells.  The first problem is that the DLC adds new references for the armored horses, so the scripts don't work on them.  The second problem is that you can't use any of the new references in the scripts because they're part of a plugin.

As far as I can tell, the only way to make the Horse Commands mod work with the DLC would be to merge them together, which makes redistribution completely illegal.  Not to mention there doesn't seem to be a way to merge plugins.  And the same problem exists for any two plugins that you would like to be interrelated in any way.

Hi.  I can't use the configure button in the dialogue menu of the CS to record my dialogue.  It just asks me to specify input rate, but no rates appear in the list.  If I click OK (with nothing selected) it just fades out and crashes.  Hopefully this is not a driver issue because I am using Vista 64-Bit and have makeshift drivers with no better options.  I have tried this with the only two mics that I have, a USB webcam and a line in mic.  I am able to manually record with Sound Recorder.  Could someone please help?—[[User:Sam324|Sam324]] 21:11, 19 November 2007 (EST)

I've added what I consider the mother of all solutions to the Vista Headache in this article - disabling UAC.  Anyone having any kind of problem with Vista should at least give it a quick try.  If it doesn't solve the problem, then I would recommend you re-enable UAC and look for another solution, to avoid any potential security threats.  Note, however, that as far as I can see, disabling UAC doesn't create any more of a security threat on your computer than was already present on earlier versions of Windows.
I also removed a suggestion that seemed not only vague, but completely uncertain whether its own advice was correct.  I know from experience that it's frustrating trying to configure your computer based on uncertain advice, no matter how well-intended it is.<br />

Solutions to Vista Issues[edit source]

I've added what I consider the mother of all solutions to the Vista Headache in this article - disabling UAC. Anyone having any kind of problem with Vista should at least give it a quick try. If it doesn't solve the problem, then I would recommend you re-enable UAC and look for another solution, to avoid any potential security threats.
