Hey Speedo[edit source]

This is amazing, you know that, right? Just thought I'd point it out.

Cheers ;) In case you're wondering, I'm hoping to get the documentation finished tonight and get a beta out in the wild tonight or tomorrow. --Speedo 19:15, 2 November 2008 (EST)
Awesome.

I get most part of the plugin's concepts- and nice work mate ! But, due to the rather bad piece of chicken I had, I'm unable to think of a use ... Could you provide one ?
And DragoonWraith, i recal you saying that this plugin helped you overcome the "final" obstacle in your mod, ARES - technically, what's that ? -- shademe 05:43, 26 November 2008 (EST)
*shrug* Any time you need to dynamically store data and want to be able to give the values descriptive names instead of just numbers. One use could be for mod settings. The XML is a little less friendly to being hand edited, but it's vastly more simple on the script side compared to say Pluggy's INI functions. You only need a single command here to read in or save all of your settings, whereas there you need ~3 lines of script to read/save every single settings value.

For me, it means that I can define, within a script, all of the various facets of each effect, so that the script truly understands how to effect works on various types of items. This allows the script to apply the effect correctly to a wide variety of items and allows the effects to be scaled better.
