Where shall I save my work i have done in Construction Set?

When I open up the Construction Set, all the windows come up, but there's nothing in them. How do I fix that?

Dragoon Wraith TALK 23:14, 25 July 2006 (EDT): Click the Open folder on the top, or go to File->Data Files. There, double click on Oblivion.esm to start a new mod (Oblivion.esm needs to be loaded to modify Oblivion), or you can check off another mod if you wish to modify that. The "Active Plugin" is the one you are currently modifying - loaded .esp's that are not Active can be used if you save the data from them into the Active Plugin (go to whichever you want to have in your mod and double-click it and hit Save - only do this for files from another mod, not on files from Oblivion itself, unless you want to save changes to that file - your mod will be incompatible with any mod that changes an object that you have Saved)

19 April 2007: How do you use your own custom models/animations...

... without over riding the originals? I've created an undead race and have heavily modified the upperbody.nif lowerbody.nif hand.nif etc. using Blender, and plan on doing animation work soon, and have looked everywhere, and still haven't found out how to make all this unique to this one race - i certainly don't want all the races to use these custom models. TES construction set has options to make a custom skin unique to a custom race, but i haven't found any options in it to make the custom models unique to a custom race.

Dragoon Wraith TALK 09:48, 18 May 2007 (EDT): To the best of my knowledge, cannot be done. Very, very sad.

12 May 2007: How do you give your player/avitar items...

... directily into the inventory, for example, the rewards that the player receves for compleating a Deadric quest

Dragoon Wraith TALK 09:48, 18 May 2007 (EDT): player.AddItem

17 May 2006: I'm new at this so

Anyways, With the Construction set I am unable to load my Oblivion.esm, this was not always the case I've made a few little mods for myself nothing too advanced, none of witch I have now except one that reverses the change of the breton voice OOO applied., I have Shivering Isles a few Official plugins and all the patches to stop that bug in the Shivering Isles expansion from destroying my game, but this is what I get when attempting to load the master file.

File Oblivion.esm is a higher version than this EXE can load Construction Set Help Unstable Masterfile

Then it asks me to continue on. As anyways I do, and I get nothing, It won't load. Also, If I posted this wrong somehow, I appologize as I said I am new.

Dragoon Wraith TALK 09:48, 18 May 2007 (EDT): Sounds like you need the latest version of the Construction Set. You can get that here.

Saving problems[edit source]

Whenever I attempt to save a file in the construction set, i find that the editing that I have done to the game does not actually show up in the game itself(yes I am activating the omod before loading Oblivion). Furthermore, when I then try to load the saved .esp file in the CS again, the changes are not there either. I have no idea where else to look for the problem.

Essential characters[edit source]

Every time I try to make an Essential character killable by unchecking that little box, it just doesn't work. I'm doing everything right; I'm saving, I'm setting the mod to the active file in the Data Files screen at the main menu; I just don't know why it won't work. Anyone know?
