Talk:Data
How do I edit the "Created by" field for my mods? Every time I edit this it gives me an error box (conviently hidden behind the always-on-top data dialog so you can't see it) that says "DeviceIoControl failed to open 'LightningStrikes.esp" in TESVersionControl::OpenFile Incorrect function." I don't have the version control ini options enabled...
Oh yeah, after this happens, my mod is a 0 byte file. Hooray for backups and such --Mrflippy 22:57, 11 April 2006 (EDT)
ShadowDancer 13:49, 12 July 2006 (EDT): Is it just me or does the Categories: File | Data Files on the Article page cover up the Details line?
- Dragoon Wraith TALK 17:46, 12 July 2006 (EDT): I see the details line... maybe a browser problem? What are you using (I'm using Firefox).
- ShadowDancer 18:33, 12 July 2006 (EDT): Depends on what computer I am using. I see where it says Details: but the other line following that wasn't showing up for some reason. Oddly enough, IE at work shows it just fine. Beats me. Maybe some glitch on the home computer.
Deleting created plugins[edit source]
don't ask how but i have multiple plugins that i need to remove and i am not sure how i can't even find the files that were supposed to save in oblivion's data folder i want to know if there is a way to remove the tes construction files that i have created i will be greatful for the help.
- The Oblivion data files should be located in the Oblivion\Data folder. By default the full path is:
C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data
- or this, for 64-bit versions of Windows:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data
- In Windows Vista and Windows 7 the Program Files folder is protected. You need to run the CS as Administrator or you have to install the game in a different location for the plugins to show up. See Windows Vista for more information.
- Deleting plugins is as simple as locating the plugin file in the Data folder and deleting that file. You can always deactivate plugins in the launcher to revert most of their changes. There are a few changes that deactivating the plugin won't revert, but deleting the file won't help either.
