==Adding More Rooms== | |||
If you haven't there is other things you can do to your house. If you don't think your house is big enough, you can expand it. The house chosen in this tutorial doesn't really give much room for expansion, but it can be done. This next section will tell you how to add additional rooms.
If you chose the tutorial house then there is an easy spot to put an addition. Right behind the stairs that go down to the basement looking area. You can fit a trapdoor. It can be found under worldobjects/doors/castle/ then look for a trap door you like. I used the circular one because it fits perfectly. After you picked the door and placed it, hit save. This is just incase, you don't want to lose data. Next go to the world tab and create a new cell like you did to create you house. Do the same things with 40,40,40 Ambient Lighting. All the same settings as you house, but name it something different. For Example i named mine Gorgons Training Area, because Gorgon is my Ork's name, and i had a training area in the basement. After you do that hit ok. Then goto that interior cell. Do the same thing you did with the house. Choose an interior, adding rooms is quicker, because you don't need an exterior. So now that you've picked what your room will look like we'll move on. If you picked a room that needs furnishing do that now, And always save often. After find a door that fits in the entry way to your new room. Then link them the same way as you did with you interior exterior to your house. Except this time it's a bit different.
Steps To Linking Your Cells:
1. Create the door. 2. Go back to your house. 3. Double-Click the Trap door (If you used that one, if you didn't use the one you used.) 4. Make sure 'Persistent Reference' is checked, as well as under the teleport tab, check teleport. (LEAVE THIS TAB OPEN!) 5. Go to your added room. 6. Under the teleport tab on the tab you left open, Click 'Select Reference in Render Window' 7. Now your two doors are linked. Click ok, and you've finished.
