Wiki News: April 7, 2008Welcome to the new Elder Scrolls Construction Set Wiki Main Page! This is our grand unveiling of a new organizational scheme, designed to make finding articles easier than ever. We are proud to introduce Portals! These are pages are designed to give access to all of the information on a given subject in one easy to understand page. These pages have their own featured articles, for content specific to that topic, lists of useful information, tutorials, troubleshooting tips, and useful tools to make modding easier. Portals also include a very important section called "Things You Can Do"! We are striving to get some more user-participation on the CS Wiki, and so we have tried to give some simple things that would improve the Wiki as a whole for each section. Also, in the same vein, we have a new page detailing some simple things you can do while browsing the Wiki generally that will help all of us. We have Article Tags that should be used to bring things to our attention, and a nifty Toolkit, with it's very own link in the Navigation section, for keeping track of things you can use to improve articles. Please go to the Community Portal for the latest news and discussions here at the Wiki. |

The Elder Scrolls Construction SetThe Elder Scrolls Construction Set allows you to edit and create any data for use with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Any data that goes into the game goes in through the Construction Set and is stored in data files (labeled either ESM or ESP files) that are read by the game. The Construction Set allows you to create your own areas (towns, dungeons, islands, etc.) and populate them with characters, creatures, and stories. You can add new races, classes, spells, quests, potions, magic items, and anything else your mind can dream up.
